The Los Angeles Police Department has gone and got themselves a Lamborghini.
With a starting price of $182,000, the 2014 Lamborghini Gallardo is the latest edition to the LAPD's fleet of vehicles, complete with traditional black and white paint and 'To Protect and to Serve' written on the sides, according to NBC Los Angeles.
The luxury ride is privately owned by Nathalie and Travis Marg of Light Source 1, Inc, a major telecommunications contractor.
According to officer Sally Madera, the car was donated to the department and will be used by police for 'charity events and recruitment'.
The Lamborghini already has its own Twitter and Instagram accounts, using the screen name LAPDLambo, as well as a website.
It will make its first official appearance at the Los Angeles County Air Show at Fox Field ini Lancaster on March 21-22.
According to Lamborghini's website, the car has a top speed of 199 mph
