Showing them how it's done! Angelina Jolie takes hands on approach as she directs Unbroken in the Australian heat

Hands on is definitely the approach favoured by Angelina Jolie if her recent on set antics are anything to go by.
The actress looked to have caught the sun while shooting Unbroken on Cockatoo Island in Australia on Monday.
The 38-year-old was seen demonstrating how she wanted the scene to look to the film's actors, as they paraded around in costume.

The mother-of-six blended in with the rest of the crew wearing a casual, all-black outfit while showing off her slender frame

Her shoulders looked a little pink under her loose-fitting vest which she teamed with a pair of skinny jeans.
The Mr & Mrs Smith star also opted for a pair of comfy, slouchy boots, proving to be a sensible option for the gravelly location.

While her long hair was worn down, Angelina shaded under a wide-brimmed hat, a style she has adopted since filming began earlier this year.
At one point during the day, the A-Lister was seen showing an actor how to hold a large blackened plank which matched his dirtied clothes.

Based on the biography by Laura Hillenbrand, Unbroken tells the story of aviator Louis Zamperini, a former Olympian who spent 47-days marooned on raft after his plane crashed into the Pacific.
In a turn of events, it was discovered by the Japanese and sent to a POW camp, where he spent the next two-and-a-half years.
The film is scheduled for release in December 2014.

Angelina has been renting a luxurious estate owned by five-time MotoGP world champion Mick Doohan while she works on her second directorial project.
The Salt actress was looking much smarter two weeks ago, when the crew headed for Sydney to film a number of scenes.
Dressed in a long-sleeved black frock, the star's outfit featured a tie-neck and flowed in an A-line past her knees.

Perfectionist: The brunette beauty appeared to reach down to the floor for a demonstration

Sensible: Headgear proved to be a popular look on set, to shade from the summer heat

Creating a modest look, the fiancee of Brad Pitt teamed the number with a pair of simple black flats and pulled her long brunette locks back into a sleek ponytail.
Angelina is thought to have spent Thanksgiving with her children, Maddox, 12, Pax, nine, Shiloh, seven, Zahara, eight, and five-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, in Sydney last week.
It is reported that the actress has been keen to immerse them in local culture and has made sure her brood has had the chance to taste traditional foods including kangaroo and witchetty grubs - an Aussie term for white moth larvae, a staple food of Aboriginal women and children

Making a point: The Mr & Mrs Smith actress also opted for a pair of flat, slouchy boots
