They've built up a close friendship during their stint on Celebrity Big Brother, and have delighted viewers with their cute courtship.

And Ollie Locke has finally taken his relationship with Sam Faiers to the next level by proposing to her live on air. 

But those hoping for a match made in reality television heaven and imminent wedding bells between the Made In Chelsea and TOWIE stars might be a little disappointed to hear that the union came about as a result of the latest Celebrity Big Brother task.

Judged by Jim Davidson, Luisa Zissman and Linda Nolan, the group were told to show off their skills in all their glory in front of their co-stars, with Ollie and Sam told to perform an improvised constructed reality show.

Kicking things off, Ollie said: 'Sammy, I need to get something off my chest. I have been seeing someone... Linda. You know how much I love you, this wasn't a planned situation.'

All in a day's work: The housemates were informed the task of the day would be for them to showcase their respective talents in a Big Brother talent show, entitled In The Limelight

Leaving their housemates giggling away as they continued their faux row, Sam fumed: 'When I was sexting Jim, you didn't care.'

Ollie showcased his acting credentials as a solitary crocodile tear ran down his face before he declared his love for the TOWIE beauty.

Getting down on one knee, he said: 'I know we've got problems, but I do love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Sam Faiers, will you marry me?'

Critiquing the performance, Luisa said: 'I think a lot of people will say TOWIE and Made In Chelsea stars are talentless, but you've both shown that you're very talented.'

Jim added: 'I've watched television and professional comedians do improv and they didn't do it as well as you. Great performance from two very good actors.'

The pair were promptly declared winners of the task and the group was treated to a fun-filled party.

Elsewhere, Liz Jones treated the group to a fashion critique, Dappy performed his hit No Regrets, Lee Ryan composed an original song and Casey provided the giggles as she stood up in defence of glamour models.

Stripping to her bra, Casey once again proved she's not shy as she showed off her ample cleavage while presenting her argument.
