'It can get pretty lonely': Bruce Jenner admits life on his own makes him feel 'so separated' from family on KUWTK premiere

By now the world knows about Bruce Jenner's plans to transition into a woman.

Sunday's premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians unlocked the door into the private misery the former Olympian was going through in the weeks leading up to the startling revelation.

Bruce, 65, who had moved into his own Malibu bachelor pad, admitted to feeling 'so separated' from the rest of the family following his split from Kris Jenner.

                          

Living by myself out in Malibu has been really good. I kind of have my freedom,' Bruce said on camera.

'The tough part comes when, sometimes, it can get pretty lonely not seeing the kids every day. I certainly wish they would be spending more time out at my house.'

Bruce went on to say that living apart from Kris, 59, was also difficult, even though she can be 'opinionated' and he can do what he wants now.

                    

He even missed Kris: The 65-year-old former Olympian said that 'it's a little tough' living apart from 'opinionated' Kris after spending 24 years years together 

                   

Not happy: Kim considered Bruce's close friendship with Kris' BFF Rhonda Kamihira 'a betrayal' 

                     

She's got her own life: Kourtney, who was still pregnant with her third child when this episode was taped, said that 'it's definitely more difficult to always keep in touch' with Bruce since the split from her mom.

                     

'Kris and I spent 24 years together, every day, all the time. So sometimes it's a little tough,' Bruce added.

The episode saw the girls rallying around the Kris over an alleged relationship between Bruce and Kris' best friend Rhonda Kamihira.

'It's wild how she's looking at him in those paparazzi pictures,' said Khloe who called the relationship 'disrespectful'.

'It's a betrayal,' agreed Kim.

                     

Incredulous: Bruce - who has since revealed plans to become a woman - couldn't believe the furor that his friendship with Rhonda had caused, saying, 'Kris can't tell me who I can and can't be friends with' 

                    

Bruce was incredulous when confronted, telling Kim: 'Kris can't tell me who I can and can't be friends with.'

Kris called Bruce an a***hole for spending time with her best friend.

Seeing how downcast and dejected their father was, Brody and Brandon threw him a 'Bruce On The Loose' party.

Of his daughters, only Kendall attended, even though Bruce had made it clear that Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Kylie would be welcome.

'Kylie was supposed to come,' he told Kendall.

                     
                     

'I certainly would've hoped that more of the kids would've come,' Bruce said during an on-camera interview, adding: 'The only one who showed up was Kendall. I guess things have changed.'

While the Kardashian sisters stressed throughout the episode that they wanted to maintain a relationship with Bruce, there was conflict there also.

Kourtney confessed: 'Since my mom and Bruce have separated and he's not around as much, it's definitely more difficult to always keep in touch, and figuring out how to all stay in each other's lives is definitely going to be an ongoing thing.'

Overwhelmed by guilt: The girls felt guilty about skipping the 'Bruce On The Loose' party and took him out to lunch instead

                    

Overwhelming guilt that they'd skipped the 'Bruce On The Loose' bash compelled the girls to take their father out to lunch.

Seated among Kendall, Kylie, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney, Bruce told them: 'It's so good to have all my girls here. I just want you all to know how much I've loved having you guys in my life. I've learned a lot from you. Hopefully I've taught you a lot. But it has been my honor. It just means an awful lot to me.'

'Even though my mom and Bruce are divorced now, he's still our dad and we love him,' Kim said on camera after a flashback reel of Bruce speaking at Khloe's wedding rehearsal in 2009 came on.

               

                

We just have to get used to our new normal and figure out what our new family dynamic is and we'll all figure it out and will all be fine. It's just going to take a minute to adjust.'

Of course, by now it's known that Bruce is undergoing hormone treatments to become a woman.

The family patriarch also recently moved out of his Malibu beach house into another more private abode nearby following his involvement in a February 7 fatal car crash on Pacific Coast Highway that left one woman dead and several others injured. 

Bruce's son Brody was also on the hot seat during Sunday's premiere episode for skipping Kim and Kanye's wedding.

Brody defended his behavior, saying he didn't go because his girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter had not been invited. 

Kim countered: 'I don't know why Brody is still talking about this. We were very strict about our wedding. There were less than 200 people there.'
