Luis Suarez has been awarded the Barclays player of the month award for December after scoring 10 goals and temporarily hauling Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table.
The Liverpool star's impressive haul included a quartet of strikes against Norwich and two goals in wins over West Ham, Tottenham and Cardiff which saw his side move to the top of league on Christmas Day.
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini meanwhile, collected the Barclays manager of the month gong for the first time since his arrival in the Premier League.

City were in scintillating form during the festive period, notching up five wins – including a 6-3 demolition of title rivals Arsenal, and a 2-1 victory over Liverpool – and just one draw.
The Blues, who scored 19 goals during the month of December, are only one point adrift of the Gunners at the summit of the Premier League and considered the favourites to reclaim the championship which they won in memorable fashion back in 2012.
Liverpool striker Suarez began the season by seeing out the remainder of his 10-game suspension for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, and angling for a move away from Anfield.
But after being persuaded to remain at Liverpool, the 26-year has arguably been the Premier League's standout player, scoring 20 goals in all completions since his return to action at the end of September.
Suarez also signed a new four-and-a-half year deal which will see him earn £200,000-a-week.
