Kanye West has complained that he hasn't got enough Grammy nominations.
The 36-year-old rapper is in the running for Best Rap Album for his sixth studio record, Yeezus, and Best Rap Song for New Slaves in next year's ceremony, which recognises outstanding achievement in the music industry in 2013.
However, Kanye - who describes himself as a 'creative genius' - thinks his album should receive more recognition because it's been a chart success.
He told the crowd at his show at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday night: 'Yeezus is the top one or two album on every single list but only gets two nominations from the Grammys. What are they trying to say?'
The Bound 2 hitmaker, who has amassed a more than respectable 53 Grammy nominations and 21 wins in his career, hasn't won an award for anything outside the rap and R'n'B categories, though he insists that doesn't bother him.
He previously said: 'I haven't won one against a white person. I don't care about the Grammys. I just would like for the statistics to be more accurate
His rapper pal Jay Z - with whom he collaborated on 2011 album Watch The Throne - leads the way with nine nominations for his latest offering, Magna Carta... Holy Grail.
However, he was also left out in the cold when it comes to the top categories: Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Record Of The Year.
Kanye appeared down in the dumps as he hit upscale retailer Barney's New York in Beverly Hills on Wednesday with fiancée Kim Kardashian and her mom, Kris Jenner.
The singer had a perma-scowl on his face as they headed to the car following their shopping expedition.
Fortunately, he managed to crack a smile earlier in the day as he joined both women for The Hollywood Reporter's 22nd Annual Women In Entertainment Breakfast, enjoying a chat with the likes of Oprah Winfrey at the bash.
The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will take place in Los Angeles on January 26.
